Unfortunately I will not be able to attend this year's gathering. I was really looking forward to the gathering this year as it has been about 50 years since my last visit the Buffalo area. But daughter Kristine has informed us that in the middle of August we will become GRANDPARENTS so that means I will need to use my vacation and travel budget for a trip to Brooklyn, NY. The birth of our first grandchild kinda trumps most anything else on the planet. There are quite a few of you who know what I mean.

Congrats to your family Jim! Family comes first.

If on your travels back from Brooklyn you happen to be passing through Buffalo give me a shout. We could meet you for some local cuisine if you have time.
FYI for the group coming. Dave and I should have a place secured for Saturday night dinner. Some of the places we checked into unfortunately couldn't handle a big crowd of patrons at once. I will update the agenda tomorrow with the restaurant info if all goes well.
****Still have to wait until March to see what GM Powertrain's work schedule will be for the plant tour. ****
Keep your fingers crossed for good Corvette, Camaro, Truck sales.

Well that was poor planning on her part......3 months earlier and you could have done both in the same vacation....................... we will let you slide on this one.
So congratulations Grampa.... is this the daughter you came out for the wedding a few years back?

Gunna miss you Norsky, but that first grand child needs to get spoiled right from the start.
I am sure Patty will be on cloud nine for a long time.

Again all kidding aside. Congrats Mofar! <<<Swedish for Grandpa.

*****Today we secured Dock at the Bay for Saturday's dinner. We will be reviewing the dinner packages. Once thats figured out I'll post the menu and prices for that night. *****

Norsky said: Thanks guys! And yes, she is our one and only and it was her wedding we traveled to the East coast for back in 2011. Haven't even thought yet about which route(s) we'll take going east and west but if we're passing nearby I'll be sure to give a shout.
Do that big guy! Seems like you have to hit central NY will for sure have a stable here if you need it!
