I would prefer the July date for the longer days, but if it is August, I will still plan on coming.

I like Option #1 for us.
Can we decide on either July or August? Either works for me.
I need to make plans for visiting my sisters, nieces and nephews out west.
And I need to make reservations for Cape Cod soon.

It seems like July is preferred by the vast majority. John and I are still working on hotels (he has been gone for the last month or so) - perhaps we can focus on July as the primary choice in our negotiations with the hotels? Is there any further debate about the date?
Since the majority wants July, grab the bull by the horns my friend. Call it. This is yours and John's baby. That's kind of what Dave, Mich and myself did. I'm prepping our newly acquired trailer to haul the '81 2800 miles to see you guys. And if something doesn't go perfect I won't bitch one bit.

Hauling? With air and power and gas mileage? Make sure you get it off the trailer at the nightly stops.
Dave C..........My mantra: I can not be bought!! Long and short term leases available.

Yeah, not to get off topic, but I can't see with my back issues and Michele's hip sitting in that tiny little cockpit for 3 days out and 3 day back. So we opted for total comfort this trip.
