So I have one of the activities more or less decided on but the timing is not the greatest so I would like to hear from a couple people who are planning to attend.  We have what is called the Wheatland Exress which is a train ride across some great scenery which goes for an hour one way where there will be a break with entertainment and an old fashioned cowboy cookout then back on train for hour to station where there is other entertainment. This starts at 4 in afternoon and if we stay after ride for all entertainment it would be about 9. This is about an hour out of city which would put us back in city around 10 and this is on the Saturday. The train I believe only runs sat and sun.  I was hoping for a train heist but that is scheduled for different date.  Chances are good we would have our own car so we could still do our last evening together  just might be a little difficult to have a cake. We could also leave right after train ride and probably be in city by 9.  They were pleased that I had contacted them and said if we wanted to come early we could do our own little car show and they would advertise it .  The cost is 120 a person Canadian  so you get a train ride, entertainment and a meal. This would have to be prepaid I know some people are on the fence but would be nice for feedback. If done before end of December we could get 10 % off but I know that would be stretching it.

Sounds like fun...!!!  If memory serves in 2014 we had a late night getting back to the hotel after the fish boil.  And if some folks wanted to leave right after the train ride that would be their choice.

btw - I looked up the exchange and as of yesterday (11/23/2018) $120 Canadian is a little over $90 US.

I live to ride the rails. And I don’t care when it ends. Works for me.

Sounds like a great activity.  We didn't sign up to come in the poll, but are hoping everything works out that we can make it.

I’m hoping to make it so my opinion: let’s live it up! Didn’t go out until 10pm in my younger days! Let’s ride the iron horse!

So I have a request from attendees. After you have paid for the train via your credit card please drop me a note to say you have paid and I need last names and spouse names for my record book, most of you I know but there is the odd one that I do not. As well some have stated that they have had trouble getting hold of the office to pay for the train, they are open 8:30 - 4:30 monday to friday, but with the extreme temperatures it is possible that they are not in this week. Just keep trying you will get through number again is 306-233-3068, they are pretty good about getting back to you if you leave a message. Remember to say you are with the C3vr corvette group
