I think I mentioned this in another post but just to be sure...
Contact your car insurance company and make sure you're covered for driving your car in Canada. Some companies may charge a little extra for the coverage.
Also contact your cellphone carrier as you may or may not be able to use your phone north of the border. Best to make sure your plan has "foreign country" coverage to avoid some RIDICULOUS surcharges.
Our cell phone price for CA was a joke!
My wife hooked us up with an "out of the country medical" rider just in case the excitement is too much of one or both of us!
I always get medical insurance just for time we are on our trip and its costs me 20.00, As for our cell phones we don't get the extra pack, we just turn off our data when we cross the border, and use hotels wifi service. I have a gps that we plug into the car that we take. I will make a list of dos, don'ts and musts soon for you guys
I was wondering what insurance companies offered travel medical insurance in Canada. We have Medicare and Tricare which do not cover outside the U.S. Don't think we'll need it with just a few days there in Canada, but better to be safe than sorry.
