Well, we made to Bowling Green with no ill side effects. we did have a 1 hour wait in the stinking Louisvlille bridge. Nothing quite like sitting on a bridge inching along watching your gas gauge go down versus flyin down the highway watching the gas gauge go down.... other than that a great trip.
Last night we ate at Montanna's Steak House, all of us were totally stuffed. We had a couple of distinguished phone calls from the boss (Adam W.) & brother Norsky, wish you guys were here too!
Afterward dinner we came back and sat around and just talked and laughed at each other. It was GREAT!
I'm gonna get out and clean up the Blacray here in a bit before the road cruise. You'll be glad to know lotsa pictures were takin last night so I'm sure y'all will get a sneak peek.
Hope ta be able to share more stuff with ya'll as time goes on....
Ah, the sunsfinally up now and it is gonna be a great day... 72 degrees, sunshine and clean Vettes... LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!

There are at least 12 of us that I am aware of with 8 of them at the Baymont presently. More should be arriving tonight. I hope they get here in time for the Go - Cart racing.... Woo-Hoo!!!
Today we went on an awesome road trip and Stingray Jim took us out through the country to an Amish place called the Jamhouse we bought some jam, candles and some other goodies.
Then we went and had lunch & ice cream... Most of our group are sitting in the parking lot getting there race faces on so that we can show these here Kentuckians how Vette people like to run cars hard around the oval. It should be interesting.
I need to get out there and get my race plan in order... I think I'm pickin Dave Wright to be a track favorite tonight!

Hope to see you guys tomorrow!! I'll give Dave a call when we arrive!!

Thanks Mark I'll check when I get home later today.
Saturday is now a memory but yep it's a good one. Nice car show at NCM. Our own Bob & Pat Hamilton taking the Peoples Choice award with his beautiful Red 70-OneConv taking top honors! Bob is pretty modest about the car in saying "People just like a red convertible." Well, say what you want Bob but your car is more than just any ol' red convertible in my book she's NICE and the judges musta felt the same way!
NCM's Rock & Adam gave us a presentation on the future of NCM & what will happen to CCX. The mueseum intends to merge CCX into other shows as the showcase vehicles later on. They also talked about the 09 Corvette Caravan.
Afterwards C3VR had our member meeting with Dave Wright doing an excellant fill in for Adam Wartell. He went over the 06 member gathering minutes and several items were discussed. Some good things were brought up and will be outlined in later forum topics.
Rock took us out on 1 last road trip. It proved out that the C3's can hang with the new Z06 through the twisty turny Ky backroads. Thank goodness no farm animals ventured into the road or they surely would have been goners!
NCM hosted a dinner and auction in the evening with many C3VR members in attendance. Other members went to and had dinner at local eating establishments.
At the Host Hotel (Baymount) members gathered to cap off the night telling stories about their day. Laughter was in order as speech was attempted to be taught to the menfolk by the ladies. It seems men have a hard time talking about Fig Pluckers.
Casual night clothes were worn by many but not a requirement. In all this rounded off a perfect day.

Tux, thanks for great recap!
One other question... how many people would you say were at the event in total (C3VRers and non-C3VRers)?

My first Vette, now owned by JB79:

The unoffical count was about 60 total.
49 preregistered and several signed up when they arrived on either Thurs. or Friday.
I just got home (drove most of the night except for a 3 hour nap in the Vette) and will be posting the minutes of our meeting as well as pictures.
This was definitely a great event for all who attended.
