Did something @#%* dumb FridayAngry... looks like I may have torn my achilles tendon (I heard it stretch).  (right foot too)... was trying to rock my '73 back and forth after i heard some noise in the rear wheel. I went to the emerg room and thats what they think too. Checked the internet too and seems most likely. I have an apt with my Orthopedic and they will likely schedule an MRI then.. first he wants to look see... The emerg room put it in a splint and I'm on crutches...

Now me and my '73 are O.O.C.. I hope it's not long but if surgery required it could be as long as 6 mos.Cry ... Will know more next week I guess... On top of that my wife doesn't drive a stick, so that eliminates that idea too.

Hope it's not as bad as you think. We'll miss you if you don't make it to the Gathering, but first things first.

Ray,

Got your IM. If you need help with either the foot or the car let me know.  Or if you'd like to ride along to one of the shows, etc. I'm travelling by myself...most of the time.

Appreciate all the words of encouragement... I'm not counting us out until I hear what the final prognosis is, and then after that my hard head probably only hear good news...9Hard head... that's why this happened  ). Jim... Mama said she would drive me up to the HD Cruise ins (in her Mustang of courseConfused) what a dilema... A man's gotta  do what a man's gotta do... I guess I will go...

Yazouch!!! Been there, done that Ray! It took over a year to totally recover and I have to stretch the shizzizle out of them before I run or bike now, and that injury is 13 years old.

I was driving with no severe issues after a couple of months though if that's any consellation...

Rest easy, wash and wax the car, talk to her every day, and before you know it, "Reunited and it feels so good!!"
