Simple solution is to TEACH your wife to drive a stick....
Honestly If my wife could not drive a stick I would have been dead 20 years ago . Only her ability to drive a stick got me the help I needed in time...
That said...it is still a bummer... !

Sorry about the bad news. Hope you heal quickly. Just remember, you don't HAVE to bring the "Green Machine" to PF. Our first meeting, we had to go my my Frau's PT Cruiser!! Caught some grief over that! Something about it being a "corvette in drag". or something like that. Sure hope you see you in PF - in whatever vehicle gets you there.

I was driving with no severe issues after a couple of months though if that's any consellation...

I'm gonna try.. no-one wants it more than me.. I got the word today and surgery Friday but it was expected.... with some luck i may be in driving cond in possibly 8-12 weeks... that will be cutting it close but I'm shooting for 8 weeks myself... as long as the cast isn't too big... this will be the first time I wish I had an automatic... nah
