Adam, for me if you or a vote by members, i want to go on the record to say that you have my backing, for what it is worth, if you feel you have to make the choice then do it, i know that this is your child, we are just body parts, and i know that you have the best interest of the website in mind.

I agree with all of the above too. Some time spent in a group sounds great, and some events sounds great too. Adam, do what you have to do and people will adjust their schedules, or wait until the next gathering. You're the boss. I plan to attend, no matter where it is held.
I like driving my Vette (that's why I bought it).
I like sitting back and shooting the bull with Vette owners (that's why I go to cruise-ins and car shows).
I like eating (that's why I am fat)
So if we can drive for an hour, sit around and converse for a couple of hours and have a meal or two thrown in, I'll be happy.
And, yes, I'll go where ever the Gathering is.

[QUOTE=Adam Wartell]I think Carson worked fairly well, we typically had a 8-9am start, and were back by 5ish. Our nights were mostly open to do spontaneous group or individual things. So, I'll likely shoot to have some road trips in the mix, with group lunches, maybe some scheduled group dinners. Maybe one night of go-karting if we go to a city that has them!

FYI, Branson, MO does have a GO-CART track, next to mini-golf and a batting cage. Might be a good place to go (oh, yeah, maybe I already said that . . . about a hunderd times)!

When we gunna get to vote?

I'm agree with Dave, except I like to eat more

One of the best times I've had with this bunch was under the canopy in the rainy parking lot of the Holiday Inn. Having a BBQ in the lot were the cars are was great.
Looking forward to meeting new members

Adam, the last two, 2006 and 2007 gatherings were wonderful as they were, we had time for both, quite time and planned event time, Elba and I like that, we make the drive for the fun, meeting and friendship of the members in C3VR and to do the things we all did together. It is hard work to plan events but, you and your assistants have done well in my book, lifetime memories were made. I hope you don't change now. And I also support your decision..Terry..."Are we there yet" ..

P.S. Do we still get the free transmission check and BBQ at Joel's house after the 2008 Gathering?

With only the last gathering to go by, I loved it more than I could have imagined. We had only planned on staying 'til Fri. for $$$ reasons but we enjoyed the caravaning of vettes so much that we just couldn't leave. Those opportunities are so rare, and fabulous fun. Looking back, my only regret was my lack of social skills ( I'm not a very outgoing person). I wish I had made the time and effort to meet and get to know each and every member but that's not easy to do in a few days. To all who attended.. It was a blast people. It was good to be among you, Thanks.

Oh, and just a word of warning... I may pull rank and pick the city without going through the "pick from these three" voting. Hope that doesn't PO too many people if I do that.
