Eric,
Yeah, I was thinking of driving to meet you in NY. I live in western mass, and am about 2.5-3.0 hours from midtown. So that would make my total travel time 16 hours. I'm working on some mods right now and if they are all done and working by then, I'm taking her.

Do you already have hotels along the way, or were you planning on a straight drive through?

Big Al,
I don't have a problem with an non vette traveling with us. I don't know what Eric thinks. Too bad you won't have yours ready to travel.

Hey guys!

I'm cool with a non-vette traveling with us. After all, who else is going to carry the luggage?? heheheh

Actually, I may have an open seat if someone is interested as well. Right now, I have some "tentative" interest, but nothing confirmed. For long drives like that, I'd much prefer the company!

As for the drive itself, personally I was thinking of doing it in two parts. I'm sure the 76 would like the rest and I know I wouldn't mind it either. My stamina for endurance road trips has diminished since my college days. I once did a 43 hour non-stop drive in my 1969 GTO to southern California - ouch - now that was a TRIP! That said, if everyone is set on doing it all in one shot, we'll go for it as well.

If we do break it up, I've not thought about a hotel on the way. We could figure out the 1/2 way point and find something and book ahead.

We'll definitely keep in touch and make sure as the date gets closer we keep closer contact and set it up. I know there are a couple of guys in Jersey and PC with C3's who said they may want to join us as well. I say the more the merrier and it will definitely be very cool to road trip with a bunch of hot C3's!

Hope someone is bringing a tool kit with them - just in case! |eek|

Eric,

Your reading my mind! Both on the 1/2 way stop and the tool kit. I'm already trying to think of which tools to take and which ones to leave home.

Do you have your hotel for KY yet? I didn't get one yet. Let's stay in touch and we can plan more as it gets closer.

I'd suggest booking lodging in Bowling Green sooner than later. One block of rooms that Adam reserved has already filled up and he has another block going ('More Hotel Rooms now available!'). Snooze on doing this and you may be snoring in your car! |laugh|

Sounds good on the 1/2 way stop. (whew!) As for the room, yes - I have mine reserved already where Adam got the block of rooms. Maybe what we can do is start a new message thread in this forum for all those who want to hook up from here? Something like Mid-Atlantic C3EX Caravan |rollysmile|

My wife and I are going in our yellow 76. Haven't gotten around to booking a room yet, hope it's not too late. Plan on leaving from just north of Springfield Ma. Any other Western Ma. folks wanna ride together? John & Dawn

Hey John & Dawn,

I'm really close to you guys. I live in Southwick, just southwest of Springfield. We could start off together.
But as said before, you better reserve a room through Adam soon if your going to have a place to sleep in KY.
