If anyone has first hand info on hotels in Bowling Green can you post your comments, positive & negative so people who have not been there can get a feel for which hotel would suit them best.

The Baymont seams high priced compared to a lot of other hotels, is it worth it?

Any help would be great.

Thanks, Dave

I have been there  several times and have only stayed at the Baymont.

I have been well satisfied as they seem to bend over backwards for Corvette Guys.

It is in a good location as far as parking so you don't have to worry about your car.

Do they have a bar/lounge to hangout in the eve, do they have a resturant? Nice if you don't have to drive if you want a coctail or two.

That would be a no and a no .  Continental breakfast type lounge is about it. Bob Evans on one side and a convenience store / gas station on the other. You can walk to either without having to get the car out. Several people made the staggering walk to the station last time I was there for more beer.

Vette(s): SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
SOLD - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe

Can't remember the name of the place I stayed at in '03 but it was down near the Baymont.  It was ok, but no bar/lounge or resturant in it that I remember.  Nothing real close either.

Stayed at the Country Hearth across from the NCM in '04.  Again no bar/lounge or resturant close by but couldn't beat the access to the NCM.

Both places were on par with each other as far as the rooms were concerned.  Nothing special but definitely not "no tell motels".

Thanks for thr info guys. I went online and checked rates at the Baymont and the Country Hearth. Same basic room, 1 king, frig. microwave, ect. for 4 nights 10/11 to 10/15, the Country Hearth is $336 and the Baymont is $525. Guess where I'm staying!

The Baymont has higher rates on Thur, Fri. & Sat. nights. So you will find me at the Country Hearth.

Did you tell them you were Going to C3X ?

I was quoted 296.00 for 11,12,13 and 14.  Comes to about $74.00 a night. When we stay there at group rate for the Corvette Action Center its like $69.00 a night and  169.00 for the suite

I did it on line and there was nothing about discounts for C3X. I wanted a room with a frig. & microwave. Price was like $71 for Wed. and like $130 or so for the rest of the days. That was with AAA discount. No one mentioned that they had a discount for C3X.

Should I change Hotels? Or am i just as well off at the Country Hearth?

It probably will be a wash either way.  I am not staying at the Baymont because its the greatest or the cheapest but because they haven't screwed me over yet and I know how to get there.

Thanks, I guess I'll keep it this way for now at least. I can always change it later if I want to.
