Hey, Barry, thanks for asking. The 72 is coming along great! Just seems like it is taking a long time. The body work is all done. The new fender is on, the seams are all patched and fixed and the header bar (between the headlight buckets and the hood) is repaired. The rivets that held the header in place had rusted which caused a wavey appearence.
I saw Gordy and the car last week and he is priming it. I took a few pictures and hope to get more pics this week as he puts color on. (Targa Blue, of course).
In March, we had a 3 week trip to Florida, which did two things:
1. It helped take my mind off the car,and
2. On the way down to FLA, we stopped in Bowling Green, KY at the National Corvette Museum
and took a tour of the Assembly Plant. OUTSTANDING!! Really a highlight of the trip!
Gordy has assured me that it will be finished in time for the Gathering in May.
I will post more pics in the next few weeks.
Dean
Is this off topic??? Surely Not!!

Sounds Great, Dean! Mine should be done in the next few weeks! Can't wait to see your's at the Gathering!

Barry
