Topic: C3VR Gathering Tentative Date: June 23-25

In the voting for the Month to pick the month the event should be held, it was a VERY close race between June and August. August ultimately got a couple of more vote than June. However, based on the closeness of the votes, my availability, the heat factor and other considerations, I am making the "executive decision" and setting the date tenatively for June 23-25, 2006.
The reason it is tenative is that I need to check for Hotel availability and make sure there really isn't anything going on there that weekend. According to http://www.pigeonforge.com/calendar/calendar.asp there is nothing planned that weekend. If we wait till august, we'd have to wait till the middle of August which I'm sure will be hotter than late June!
As soon as I can confirm these above items, I will make it official.
If June 23-25 works for you, please chime in here!
Thanks!

Wow nice dates, right in the middle of my two weeks off from work
I'm not positive but I'm going to tenatively schedule this trip on my calendar. Two things factor into me going though: 1.) Getting the trans fixed in time. 2.) AND....... the wifes approval
I've only owned this car since last June. It will be one year almost to the day (June 25th) and I'm not sure if I still trust it on a cross country trip. This would be a trip of a lifetime, thanks Adam

I'm in, tho it does shorten the amount of time needed to plan.

When I was looking at hotels yesterday, the Ramada near the Great Smokey Park looks nice. In season, was around $84 per night.

The dates sound great!! This means I have less time to get the paint job and everything back together but I like a good challenge!!
Terry I recommend a pair of opossum slippers to complete her outfit!! You know the ones with the heads still attached!! She'll love you for em .
The weather here can change in a flash, like today it's 66 and sunny, Friday it didn't get out of the 30s...... It is likely that June will be cooler than August but not guaranteed!!
Hey, everybody..... it's legal to pick up road kill in Tennessee!! Just think of the possibilities.
