I'm cutting across Canada from Detroit and figured I'd over prep and breath easy.
Passports found and still current.

Insurance company is sending a Canadian insurance card.

I read a tip: Since radar detectors are illegal, place it in a US mail envelope that is sealed, addressed (to home), toss in trunk before crossing.  They need a warrant to open it.  Some claim they drive thru with detectors stuck on their windshields without hassle.  I'll hide mine, thank you!

Speed limit is 60 mph (80km) on rural highways and 50 thru metro areas......How will I stay awake?  Unhappy

Any sites to see beside driving along the north side of Lake Erie on "3"?

We drove from Detroit to Niagara Falls through Canada about 8 years ago. As I recall, plenty to see, if you like corn fields.

The "City Vette" is sitting this one out.  The "Touring Vette" is getting the nod for this distance.  Smile

The final travel piece came today.....an EZ-pass for the toll roads.  My trip home will be solid toll road from NY thru Wi.  Twice a year I claim I'll order a transponder for the "next" trip.  I remembered the other night at 11:00pm and went on line and they mention up to 14 days to deliver....dam, I'll be on the road.  I ordered it anyway and it arrived today in plenty of time for our Friday departure.
Nothing worse then fumbling for money in a Corvette!  Some of the unmanned booths are almost too high to crawl out the window to get to.

You must have a different conversion scale in the US.  Up here 60mph translates to 100 km p hour
