Vette(s): My 1974 Vette sold last August 2014. I am still willing to show up to events and local gatherings if anything happening No new vette yet.

Hey ,  I am jeremy. I am trying to help design or set up a caravan for us vettes in the northeast (new england, NJ/NY/PA etc...)  if anybody is interested in joining up in our caravan to go down please reply and we can set something up. i know DaveM wants to do this. who else is interested?  It is more fun and enjoyable to roll down in a group versus going by yourself.  But to each his own. Questions otherwise you can reach me at 908-872-2286 cell or moviecollector@rock.com.

thanks.  this should be a great event and i am eager to see this happen.  please reply if you want or comment if you want thanks again.

Jeremy H.

I'll be starting from Upstate NY, but may be able to meet you half way, depending on routes. Adam will be leaving from Philly area.
Can you post a link to a Mapquest route you might take?

Here is my tentative route.

Planning to travel on 6/22, arriving in PF around 6 PM.dwright38732.7875694444

We'll be leaving from the Baltimore, MD area in the AM on June 22nd. Should be able to make it in one day from here - about 500 miles. Current plan is to take I-66 West to Front Royal, VA then pick up I-81 South. We could hook up with you Nor'easters somewhere on I-81. We'll be towing a 20ft enclosed trailer - probably behind the 2004 Durango (though I'm thinking of trading it for beefier pickup that gets better gas mileage).

Keep us posted...especially on the times etc you will be passing "known places"...

I am in Maryland...and would be taking I-81 South  normally hop on just outside of Hagerstown  Md.

BUT I will NOT do this 500 mile trip  as one hop... I plan on  spending the night somewhere  along the way...

I was the Maryland Co-Capt  for the 1999  National Corvette Caravan
and to be honest I will NOT joint a Caravan that has more then 10 cars
in it.... Way too frustrating ...

we will be leaving on either 21st or 22nd. unsure, depending on hotel availability what day we will be leaving.  Most likely the 22nd. yes i know where hagerstown is. i used to cut through to west virginia all the time through MD. when i know more about the places to stop i will let you all know. if you haev any suggestions on exits or spots for a mid way break and to start the following daythe rest of the trip, please reply on here. so we all have good ideas to work with.

I will let you know more when i do. keep up with this topic so it doesn't fall behind.   As far as the number of people in the caravan, so far it looks like Bob griffiths and tricer might be meeting up with us in maryland. Otherwise right now i see DaveM and I leaving from NJ.  and maybe we willsee dwright on I-81 coming from NY. so right now just 5 people possibly for this caravan.

Bob,
I know how you feel about large caravans. I avoid them like the plague.
IMHO, on a long trip, 3-5 cars is ideal. You can only travel as fast as the slowest.
On the other hand, if you have a breakdown, it's nice to have help near by.

to find out who exactly is going from our part of the us i suggest looking at the upstate ny caravan topic, it is all the same caravan basically one way or another we all meet up on rt.81 at some point. gives you a basic idea of who is coming from where. if you all email me your contact info. we could stay in touch better as it gets closer so we know who will be where at what time etc...

I am not part of CSVR.coms organization, just a member like the rest of you but i know how to maintain a caravan and with all your help we will have a fun time down and back.  I used to be a president of my own car club for a couple of years till i stepped down and let someone else run it. i was a rank in another club for a while too so i know how to try to keep things in order.  anyhow, thats alittle bit about me and car clubs organization.

talk to you guys later,

Jeremy H.
