Some NJ guys will be meeting ( fuel up if needed and have lunch) at the last rest area northbound on the Garden State Parkway at 12 noon on Wed. 7/15/09. It's at exit 172, just before the NY state line. From there we will be getting onto I-287 going over the Tappen Zee Bridge and continuing on I-287 and getting onto I-95 North in Port Chester, then going north on I-95 to Mystic. If anyone wants to join up with us reply here with details and we will work meeting points & times later. It's about 2-2.5 hours from rest area to Mystic.

So far here is the list:

Dave (DaveM) '82 black coupe
Jim (jiddj) '69 green coupe
Harry (Harryhere) '71 blue convert.  (not definite yet)

Dave and crew, I do not think I'll be gettin out of dodge until ebo woman gets out of work so I'd say 5pm. Then it's bout 5 hrs for us so you'all will have to "leave the lights on" I'm sure the group will be glowing by then. Please make sure Adam has had enough corktails so he does not shoot me upon first meet and greetLOL  Evil Smile

I will be leaving in the morning so I can arrive around 3:00 p.m.
I haven't looked at the route yet but I am pretty sure I won't be crossing the TZ bridge.
Have a save trip and I'll see you at the hotel.

Vette(s): White '79 Corvette. It's a driver.

Hey TZ Bridge crossers,

You all might want to consider taking I-287 East to the Merrit Pkwy North instead of I-95 North.
You can get to Mystic by joining up with I-95 much farther north into Ct. and using the Merrit Pkwy instead.
I'm thinking you will avoid some typical I-95 traffic this way.
Take a look at the map & see what you think.
HTH,
Kevin

Ok, Kevin talked me into it, we will be taking the Merrit Parkway and getting onto I-95 at Milford, Conn. about the same distance but no trucks and much nicer road!
