Okay.    Terry  will have the directions (Terry's needs to do something while driving!!   ) and I'll  lead while listening on the CB for the 'Bears'  and to keep us on time.   I'll come up with a good idea on how you can see the caravan on the trek west to east.

Larry, I have side exhaust pipes on mine and it is somewhat load to. don't worry about the phone. I will give you a General Mobile Radio that I know you will hear? If not it has a Vibra call Alert so you can put it between you legs when you are driving and when I call you'll love me and want me to call you more often..Joke.. The speed limit of course, this will not be a race, my wife and I have not seen some of this country and we need to enjoy it while on the cruz. Iron82 will lead you will be in the middle somewhere with communication, I promise to keep my eye on you. We will travel as fast as the slowest car and when one gets into trouble we will all lend a hand. We have plenty of time, check your car out and be positive. Hey,If you have so many speeding tickets your car must run quite well?..Terry

All I am waiting on now is the dates.  I am really going to try to make this trip, (very much want to do it), not sure if wife will make it with me or not, she might have to fly in and ride back?

I also have not traveled so would like to see some sites along the way, thank you for the offer of the vibrator, I mean phone.

Speeding tickets are in the 95 mustang GT, one 1 in the vette, got it deferred, should be of record bout that time of year.

I did street and maps and the route looks the same mileage very close time is a little different.

If this is going to be workable for me (us) you and your wife could stay with us and we would leave for portland form here.  Think about it, I live about one and a half hours west of tacoma aroma.

I am going to have the car inspected, still having some vacumn issues, so will let the man know of the plan and ask him to give me an honest run down of issues, I have never done anything to the drive train so not sure how the u joints, wheel bearings, all the stuff looks.  Will keep you posted on my progress, we do get a bonus check this year instead of a union raise, so that might come in handy if I am out of vacation time, also have a lot in a small time nearby that I will seriously try to sell very quickly, tried of mowing it anyway.

Larry.

Dwain, good reading thanks for the info. You know, if I live in Alaska and I get a speeding ticket in South Dakota and have no plans to return to South Dakota in ten years? Would they come and get me? How about the 7 years statute of limitations, would the unpaid ticket just go away? I don't think that the state could afford to hunt down all the travelers they ticket? I plan on respecting the speed laws, I have no moving violations and don't plan on getting any? It keeps my insurance down...Terry

P.S. Dwain are you going to the 2006 C3VR Meet?

From past experience, when a ticket is not paid and goes to warrant, that state can notify your state and they can threaten to suspend your license if it's not paid. I don't know if all states are like that, but it has happened to me.

Don't know if I'll make the gathering yet. Depends on the condition of the money pit. The heat problem inside is the biggest issue in summer. I've tried all the 'fixes', but none have worked so far.

For those who are concerned about speed, time on the road, and so on, at the beginning of this thread are links to a map and schedule. This is just a guide, if the Corvette Caravan wants to take a side trip, I'm with the majority, I'm just helping this along and trying to encourage as many vettes to join the Corvette Caravan heading East as possible, a memory thing. Using the shortest route we will pass through 11 states, the speed limits change as follows;4 states the interstate speed posted is 65MPH, 3 states will have 70MPH,and 4 states will have a posted speed of 75MPH..WOW....Terry
