It sounds like Terry is going to run a long the northern route and I plan to stay on the original route. Which I will pick up at Cheyenne WY. Is there going to be any gathering point prior to PF and if so what time? I plan to stop for the night near Kansas City and in Clarksville.
Thanks

Try this thread. Gathering Point
You be safe trekking east and we'll see you next week.
Glen,
I haven't seen anything posted yet by Terry about his route change but out of curiousity I did a MapQuest trip planner from Seattle to PF. The route it chose went from Seattle to Yakima, WA to Salt Lake City, UT and then followed much the same route as had been planned before.
I also checked Rand McNally's trip planner and the route it chose was slightly different. It tracked I-90 east from Seattle to Billings, MT then southeast through Gillette, WY and across South Dakota to Sioux Falls, then south on I-29 to Omaha, NE before hooking up with the original route.
Both routes are about the same in miles (MQ=2,642 // RM=2,658) and estimated driving time (MQ=38 1/2 hrs // RM=39 1/3 hr) so for some variety one route could be taken east and the other west. There's some great scenery on both as well as a BUNCH of mind-numbing boring flatland driving.
Hope you guys can hook up sooner than later on the eastbound leg. And the gathering spot near PF that Mike referenced is going to be hard to pull off with everyone arriving at different times of the day. Folks can certainly try to coordinate groups but to get the entire crowd all there at once would be pretty tough to pull off (IMO).
btw - Not knowing where Moses Lake was I checked both MQ and RM for Moses Lake to PF and they both chose the northern route of the two for Seattle to PF so maybe you guys can still hook up on Monday. Overnight stops would need to be adjusted but that's a minor detail.
Travel safe...!!!
Here's what Terry emailed me before leaving to the airport this early morning:
I will be calling you on Monday from somewhere in the USA? Want to know about Stacie and your plans, I can drop down back on track anytime from the northern area, with us leaving on Saturday we now have extra time, not in rush, I have smoked salmon for the cabin, see ya in a week..Terry
So my guess is he's driving north route to Chicago,Ill. then to PF. When he does call me I'll tell him about this. Unless he contacts you guys before me.

I talked to Terry and both will drive North and then head down. Not to sure where they will start down. They are on the way to PF. Terry will call me again on his progress.
Glen, see you and the family in PF. Enjoy your trek.
