I just spent the last three days in Charleston (
). Next week is going to be a blast. There are some last minute adjustments to the agenda which I will get posted ASAP on this thread and we will get the agenda thread updated as well. All PPE's are still in place (no worries there).

Today I spent the entire day (
) driving routes and finalizing the agenda stops. I visited every spot in Charleston , got my feet in the sand and water multiple times (swimmable) and got to eat at many of the locations which I already knew what they were like. (
) .

There are some timing issues that will shift Thursday a little bit (no worries - you will like the results !).
I have met a lot of locals and I believe these contacts will really benefit our plans ! There is a great deal of construction on 17 as they widen this major highway. The good news is there are still 2 lanes open each way, it is all paved, and we will spend very little time on this road. The down side is you have to deal with it to GET to the Rodeway for the NE caravan.
The hotel is on 17S and is the last light (take a right) on 17S before the "bridge". If you miss it, just enjoy the view as you go over the bridge and back (turn around on the Meeting ST exit - under the bridge and left turn back onto 17N). - no worries we are on island tyme. The name of the road is McGrath Darby Rd (There is a light (last) but there is no sign due to construction zone. You will see the bridge coming (you can't miss this !) a small blue Rodeway Inn sign at the intersection on the right and a sign on the right that says "thank you for visiting construction land"
I walked through the hotel with the manager and maintenance head. We have good lots to park in, the pool looks great, the rooms will be on 1st & 2nd floor with parking right outside the door. They will provide a hose each day for about a 1-2 hour window so we can wash cars if we have time. Wednesday when we arrive the hose should be available from 4 - 6.
We are at the beach and with road construction - we are going to get dirty (not filthy - but dirty). Convertibles while we are driving will be no problem - but I would not park for an extended period with the top off. Pollen season is over.
We also need to eat on Wed. So somewhere between 6 & 630 (island tyme) we will take whoever wants to go and take a small road trip to "Station 22" on Sullivan's Island. Lots of parking and at least 5 different local restaurants we can visit (mid week should not be a problem). that are right next to each other.
Most of our parking requires CASH. I have some "deals" in the works that may require additional payments to me for reduced parking rates. We will deal with those next week.
I have the shirt sample - it ROKS ! Hopefully I get there in time on Wed to pick them up - otherwise I get them on Thursday. Local vendor - they appreciated the business and the fact that we are using a local vendor.
I have some additional items to finalize tomorrow so I will not post the TH changes yet.
I have sand between my toes, salt water residue on my feet, and a cold beer in my hand. The only way to improve this is to be with my C3VR friends !
See you soon !!!!
Are you excited yet !!!!!???? Oh yeah - I had some shrimp yesterday & today the size of my thumb. Tuesday I had some clams that were in the water 3 hours prior. PHRESH PHISH !
and for you meat lovers or seafood allergic - we have plenty of options on that !

This all sounds great!! Thank you, Clint, for EVERYTHING you've done. I'm sure this is going to be a fantastic 10th Gathering!
(Having said that, if it sucks, I disavow all knowledge of Clint)
