I recently received this from Corvette Action Center, a 'Vette forum I haven't visited in years;
//////////////////////////////////////
This year's CruiseFest will be held in Colorado Springs, CO June 27 - 29.
The folks in Colorado have done a phenomenal job at planning some of the most incredible events for this year's CruiseFest:
* Visiting Cripple Creek, CO - an old mining town
* tour of the U.S. Olympic Training Center
* Cog Railway to Pike's Peak
* Caravan to the U.S. Air Force Academy
* Mod Parties
* Tech Seminars
* Blender Wars
...are just some of the events planned.

We had planned to hit the Colo. Spgs. and Pikes Peak area anyway on the way to the C3VR gathering, after seeing this, I think we are going to blast straight thru to Carson City with a stop at Bonneville Salt flats then hit the CruiseFest on the trip back. Looks like a killer 'Vette vacation is in store for us. Any of the other C3VR Midwest and Easterners are also more than welcome.
Rumor has it that Norsky is planning to hit CruiseFest on the return trip too!!!

That's a good rumor! Don't have our trip totally planned out yet so don't know for sure it there will be enough time for a stop there. Hope so as I know of a few C3VR folks who have already made plans to attend the CAC gathering before the dates for the C3VR gathering were announced and were unable to attend both.
A stop at the Salt Flats is a good possiblity!
That sounds interesting
I'll keep it in mind. I have friends in Colorado Springs. This may turn into one hellofa trip

This is going to be the longest trip I have ever driven.... EVER!!! And I'm a geezer.... who's going to cram everything I can into it....
As I recall, my previous long drives have been several trips to Mass., CT, NYC and Key West, FL but I have never driven much further west than St. Looie or Memphis. This one's gonna COUNT!

Is anyone planning to go to this get together? I'll be coming back on I70 so it's not out of the way.

Car show and tours on Friday.
Depart Saturday morning.
Sounds good to me.
