WOW, Looks like Marshall -n- Candy will be getting the distance award for the 2009 GATHERING. Not like last year when the transport ship brought one in from the far reaches of the ALASKA tundra.  Hope all are well and the economy is not making the joys of vettedom a strain on the ability to relax.    M-n-S

Yes, I saw your entry. Hope all goes well for the trip. Trust the fuel pump is all better as well. Be nice if you could get the distance award for that trip also.  Happy Motoring.  We made the passage to the museum and plant last year. Will not be attending this year.  M-n-S LOLClap

I have completely gone over the C 3 with new wheel bearings all around, brakes, drilled/slotted rotors, new water pump, all new hoses in the engine bay and of course Joel installed the new fuel pump last year on the road and my guess is that anything he installs will never ever need replacing..Rolling On The Floor Laughing..What a guy... This year Mark we are taking the C-4, more comfort and better gas mileage and no side exhaust..Terry

Is this why the Mystic gathering appears it will have little attendance?  Everyone saving up their vacation time (and money) for NCM's 15th?

We wanted to do both gatherings but vacation and travel dollar budgets this year will only allow one out-of-state Corvette trek.  Patty had an aunt who lived in nearby Old Mystic, CT and we visited her several years ago.  The deciding factor was that Patty has never been to Bowling Green.

GOOD THINKING Adam, I believe you are right on target  with your analisis of why the attendance is low at Mystic. ALL of the reasons I have heard are all legitimate, and understand compleatly. HOORAY for ALL involved in BOTH gatherings, Individually or collectivly. Hearts and minds, what little I have, are nit together no matter where we are.  ENJOY the ride, and do not forget to WAVE. It is not the destination, but the RIDE.  Mark manchestershark2009-06-18 05:20:21

I was starting to think the same thing.  I had forgotten about the NCM event I know a number of people are going to.  I'm just not in to the thought of how big of a crowd that will be.  Looking forward to Mystic!

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
