Just got in about an hour ago. Had a GREAT TIME with all my C3VR family, seeing all my old friends and meeting so many new ones. Hope everyone gets back with no trouble. I caravaned with the Oklahoma guys and it was a ball.

#2 -2000 C5, black/black, 6 sp, Bose system & lots of buttons.
WOW! I had a BLAST, even if I had to clean out my dog purse!
Dave & I are blessed to belong to such a special group of folks. One lesson I learned is NOT to trust Tux with sweet potato fries.
What a great food fight...........Yeeee.......Haaaaww!

No complaints here!
Many thanks to all the people that put this together!

We can't thank all of those who pulled this together enough. We had a great visit with all of you. Those drives in the hills (they ain't no mountains -- right Terry?) were awesome.....and the buffet lunch at the north pole --- WOW!!!! and it didn't take Adam THAT long to dry out after he fought those old ladies for the fire place........New England HUH??? from Texas....have to see how many others are going from the neighboring states......NOT.....already planning on two weeks vacation to make the drive...........Y'all are the best

Vette(s): Silver 1974 Convertible - L82 4 speed
Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.
2008 Jetstream Blue Convertible
More lessons...
If'n the glass of tea is too small, the pitcher will do
Even in Arkansas, they don't beleive that a Chihuahua in a purse could be a seeing eye dog
Getting exercise on vacation should not require having to walk back to the front desk every time you want to get into your room to get a new key
Do Not, I repeat, DO NOT stop for gas in Ullin, IL
Bubba is now driving a Chevy truck and can't spell
If you're on a motorcycle driving by a bunch of Corvettes and trying to look cool, you should make sure you hit all the gears
Pay close attention to all of this Corvette stuff, because there's a test at the end!!
C3VR people are GREAT!!! - Oh, wait, I already knew that one!! Thanks everyone for a GREAT TIME!! I can't wait until next year - are we there yet?!?!?
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

I've made it to 4 of the 6 gatherings so far and, while all were great fun, this year's topped the bunch. Can't express enough thanks to John and Donna, DaveW, and Joel for all the time and energy put into putting together an excellant list of things to do and experience. TOP NOTCH...!!!

32 hours of being "tail-gated" south and north by a red Corvette was worth it. Left HS just before 5:00 AM on Sunday and had "The Toy" unloaded and tucked away in the garage by 10:30 PM.
It was really great to meet everyone and finally put a face to those we hadn't seen before. There may be just a few more additions to things learned at this gathering:
Joel is a darn fine mechanic
Texans really do drink their beer from a pitcher (or two)
Joel is a darn fine mechanic
Them ugly ducks are endangered...why...because they are so darn UGLY!!!
Joel is a darn fine mechanic
Zora in the background saying "Trust the Vette, Dennis"...they really will recover from sort of sideways on a curve with a shear drop!
Joel is a darn fine mechanic
Deliverance is not a good movie to watch 48hrs before heading to Arkansas, especially when hanging with Joel, Spielman and the others waiting for Jimmy & the gang...I was sure I heard banjo's coming from that house across the way
Did I tell you that Joel is a darn fine mechanic?
Don't run your best time of the day at the drags right after you have dialed in your E.T.
Joel is a darn fine mechanic
Pollen will turn a black car green
And lastly, Joel is a darn fine mechanic!
Thanks to John G, Dave W and Joel for pulling this together and thanks to Adam for hosting, letting us have a great time and for the drink!
26 hours from OKC to RI. Guess the wife will have to leave out a pair or two of shoes or I'll have to buy a trailer!

"Keep up the Pace"
A great turnout of some mighty fine folks.
Good rides.
Good food (except for the overcooked talipia at Don Juan's).
Good conversations (especially Butch and his farm stories).
Good mechanics.
Good views of the countryside.
Good museums (cars and stuff).
Good boat ride.
Good host hotel.
Good carshow.
Good bath houses.
Good morning runs (on the backroads).
Bad tail lights. But I went 3361 miles without a traffic violation!!!
It's a good thing we did this before the price of petro got high.
