Left Bend just after 6 o'clock this mornin' and arrived in Eugene around 8:30. Patty was ready and waiting to head for home. Rather than take a side trip up to Grand Coulee Dam I thought the time would be better spent showing her the Mackenzie Pass so we back tracked towards Sisters. Got to tell you that the twisties were a lot of fun going the opposite direction from yesterday...!!! Patty was impressed with the lava flow, the observatory, and the view of the mountains.
Called Mike while were between Sisters and Redmond and he told me the breakfast gathering was great. He also told me that I was about 10 minutes behind Mark and Karen heading for Yakima. Tried my best but didn't catch up until we got to Biggs Junction. Saw their car in the diner parking lot when we pulled in for fuel. Got a chance to say good-bye again when they were pulling out.
Hopped across the Columbia River and ran the Washington side of the river east to Umatilla, then headed north arriving in Coeur d'Alene just after 7 o'clock. Walked over to a nearby Perkins and chowed down so now it's time to blow out the candles for the night. On to Glendive, MT tomorrow and back to "The Ranch" on Tuesday afternoon.
Oh, talked to Wally - he arrived safely in Jackson, WY. Dave Wright is camped at the KOA near Butte, MT.

Thanks for the update Jim, glad everyone is getting home safe. John & Carol, Mark & Karla, Mike & Karen, Glen & Julia, Larry & Dee Dee and Steve and I all left together and peeled off along the way North. Left John and Carol at 4:30 only a couple miles from their home and I just landed in Chilliwack BC an hour ago, get a golf game in tomorrow then back to Vernon. All I can say right now is WOW...that was great.
More to come later I am sure. Thanks to all, drive safe.

It was really great to meet everyone It was really hard to leave early, on Sat I was mowing and imagining being in the vette on the cruise with everyone but for some reason it just wasn't the same, thanks to everyone who put the event together. everyone did a great job
Glad the trip is going well. We just pulled in and cleaned out the car. What a blast that gathering was -- good people all

- SAVE THE WAVE -
Arived back at "The Ranch" around 6:30 PM CDT. Except for one tree near the back fence line of the pasture everything is still standing. Got "The Beast" unloaded and tucked away in the garage. Will wait to do a complete cleanup until the weekend.
Just before turning off of the freeway on the last leg of the trip the dash display clicked 25 Average MPG - not bad for cruizing along at 75 MPH with the A/C on...!!!
Talked to Jill and Dick - they'll be overnighting near Rawlins, WY. Dave Wright left a message that he is in Elkhart, IN for the night and should be home in Victor, NY tomorrow.
Glad to see travel updates from others also.
Time to blow the candles out for tonight - 4:00 AM will come TOO quickly.

Got home safe and sound a day early with no problems.
Norsky called me yesterday when I was between two semis near Chicago on I80, so I didn't answer right away. Thanks for checking on me Jim.
I hope everyone have a good ride home. Even Mike Dunn!

Chuck heads to Dillion, MT. Well...maybe...we've seen a lot of street rods headed south.....something tells me, he just might have to take a detour.....to a rod run. God Bless you all and plan on seeing you next yr in Effingham. Chuck and Linda
