Candi and I got home a couple of hours ago after a trouble free trip home. Thanks to everyone for the great time, once again. We can't wait for next year!

I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

Made it back to Hot Springs with no problems. Once I started driving the time went by very quickly and I felt so good that I drove 14 hours straight through. Next stop NCM 2014 caravan!

Vette(s): 2004 Commemorative Edition Coupe, Auto w/HUD. 13K miles in 2015. Sold 1982 Red Coupe
Everything was smooth sailing, so I just kept going. Left Little Chute at 5:30 a.m. (central)and rolled into my driveway at 7:00 p.m. (eastern). 820 miles door to door. Lost my brakes, so I had to pay attention to the cars in front of me.Unhappy

Just dropped the Vette off at the garage so the mechanic can tell me tomorrow what needs to be replaced.

Had a great time with old friends and met some really great new friends. Thanks to the team that put it all together. They did a super job. Much appreciated.

Can't wait for next year.

Made it home safely early afternoon.  Put 1000 miles on the old 72 and it ran great.  Never missed a beat.

I would like to thank Jim, Frank, Wally, and Pete for putting together a Gathering to remember.  Everything went very smoothly and we saw a lot of interesting things.  Good Job!  It was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones.  Just another reason why I enjoy these outings.

Hope everyone made it home safely.  OMG, did I just read that Dave Wright went from Wisconsin to New York with little or no brakes?  I'm glad he's home safely!

Wally, Pete, Cindy, Dave & Nadine, Mike & Judy and Patty & I left the hotel around 8:45AM.  Made a short pit stop in Stevens Point and a slightly longer stop for gas & grub in Menomonie.  That's where Pete lives so the mini-caravan began to get smaller.  On the east side of the Twin Cities Wally and Mike & Judy peeled off to swing around the south side of the metro to get to their homes while Patty & I led Cindy and Dave & Nadine around the east and north sides of the metro.  Ran into an unexpected road closure so worked through the detour with them.  Once clear of that we waved good-bye to the two black Corvettes as they headed northwest on I-94.  We pulled into the driveway at "The Ranch" just before 4 o'clock.  After taking a very happy trio of pups for a walk and getting the car unloaded I hopped on the lawn tractor for a couple of hours to cut down the jungle that had sprung up while we were gone.  I'll rake it tomorrow and then bring in the baler in a couple of days to finish it up.  LOL

Had a GREAT time with everyone...!!!  It was wonderful to see several "first-timers" and also to see all the "veterans".  Glad everyone enjoyed a sampling of what northeastern Wisconsin has to offer.  The weather even turned out better than expected which was a bonus!

Glad to hear of the safe returns of several and hope those still on the road have safe traveling!

See ya down the road...!!!  Thumbs Up

We just got in.  Took it easy on the way home and only drove @400 miles/day.  Put in almost 2200 miles in 7 days and had a ball doing it.  Enjoyed seeing everyone and all the places we went. Clap Gonna have to do it again next year!!  Thumbs Up
