Time to start putting forth some ideas of where to hold the next Member Gathering. It will be our 18th Annual to be held sometime in 2020.  The date will depend on factors such as where it will be and who will be putting it together.

Going by our rotation schedule, we will be in the MID section, shown in blue in the map below. (You can also click here for an interactive map).

You are welcome to suggest any location within the MID section, however if you suggest a location that is familiar/near to you and you are willing to put an agenda together, that will certainly be given more weight than just a simple suggestion of a place you'd like to see.  All of the gathering agendas, outside of the few that I put together and Mid America, were created by members who were familiar with or live in the area. So, we'll be looking for someone to do that again in 2020.

As ideas are put forward, I will try to keep a list of them at the top of this thread.

Vette(s): 1978 Stingray - needs a little TLC, bought for wife's 50th Birthday

The Dallas - Fort Worth (DFW) area is easy to get to but hot in July-August. There are some great classic car venues north and west within an hours drive plus vintage planes and RR displays for those interested too. An Ok club meets annually just inside the OK line and it's fun roads out in the countryside to explore. Never having attended an outing, I'd be happy to help coordinate one here locally in DFW area but need help on typical agenda items. Would be fun and great way to finally meet some of these fine Internet forum friends!

Alternately, the Branson, MO area is beautiful too and a days drive from many points in this region.

Thanks,

Bryan

I dunno - Dallas/Fort Worth might be too long a drive for "The Apple" to make (if it is repaired in time...!!!).  😃

Branson was the sight of the 2017 Gathering so don't know how many folks would care to repeat a spot so recently visited.

Man north or south dakota would be awesome, might even think about driving the 75 if it was that close

Vette(s): 1972 conv, 4-speed, 350, 200hp, numbers match, rally wheels, war bonnett yellow w/white top. good condition, nice driver.

The Dakota's would be a very good choice. I had suggested them, but they got deleted somehow.

Black Hills Classic is mid July.  Starts in Sioux Falls, then to Spearfish.

Well one thing about the Black Hills Corvette event, the planning is all done for you, on the other hand it looks really busy, I don't know I've never been to one, maybe someone else could chime in, I think we need to get on this and start exploring the options

For the most part The Gathering has been planned not to be a part of a major Corvette event.  Mostly because we're a smaller group and like doing our own thing.

Mark - I don't know how your post for the Dakotas disappeared but please re-enter it if you remember the details that you suggested.

Need some more suggestions of locations for The Gathering.  Lets get them submitted soon so we can get on to the next step of the process...!!!
