Time to start putting forth some ideas of where to hold the next Member Gathering. It will be our 18th Annual to be held sometime in 2020. The date will depend on factors such as where it will be and who will be putting it together.
Going by our rotation schedule, we will be in the MID section, shown in blue in the map below. (You can also click here for an interactive map).
You are welcome to suggest any location within the MID section, however if you suggest a location that is familiar/near to you and you are willing to put an agenda together, that will certainly be given more weight than just a simple suggestion of a place you'd like to see. All of the gathering agendas, outside of the few that I put together and Mid America, were created by members who were familiar with or live in the area. So, we'll be looking for someone to do that again in 2020.
As ideas are put forward, I will try to keep a list of them at the top of this thread.

I’ll go anywhere not served by Air Canada!

The Dallas - Fort Worth (DFW) area is easy to get to but hot in July-August. There are some great classic car venues north and west within an hours drive plus vintage planes and RR displays for those interested too. An Ok club meets annually just inside the OK line and it's fun roads out in the countryside to explore. Never having attended an outing, I'd be happy to help coordinate one here locally in DFW area but need help on typical agenda items. Would be fun and great way to finally meet some of these fine Internet forum friends!
Alternately, the Branson, MO area is beautiful too and a days drive from many points in this region.
Thanks,
Bryan

Man north or south dakota would be awesome, might even think about driving the 75 if it was that close
The Dakota's would be a very good choice. I had suggested them, but they got deleted somehow.
Black Hills Classic is mid July. Starts in Sioux Falls, then to Spearfish.

Well one thing about the Black Hills Corvette event, the planning is all done for you, on the other hand it looks really busy, I don't know I've never been to one, maybe someone else could chime in, I think we need to get on this and start exploring the options
For the most part The Gathering has been planned not to be a part of a major Corvette event. Mostly because we're a smaller group and like doing our own thing.
Mark - I don't know how your post for the Dakotas disappeared but please re-enter it if you remember the details that you suggested.
Need some more suggestions of locations for The Gathering. Lets get them submitted soon so we can get on to the next step of the process...!!!

Since Bryan has offered to put something together in Dallas, that is currently in the lead. Bryan is investigating further the possibility of he and his wife doing this. As soon as he can, he'll let us know if he will be able to take the lead or not.

Oh guess i missed that post, thats awesome
Kansas City has lots to do. It’s centrally located. Not sure what month would be good temperature wise.
I would go to Kansas City in a heartbeat. Lots to see. Pick a date for a baseball game.
Lake Tahoe California then on to harass hot August nights in Reno.
One of the best rides in the world, lots to do and see! Big swap meet, huge car show... from all over the world!!!
Long drive for some but worth it!

Brian, we had our Annual Gathering in Carson City in 2007. Was a great time with trips to Tahoe, Virginia City and Reno events. Besides, next year we are to have it in the Midwest part of the country.

TIC... TOC... ⌛
Time is running out to submit ideas for where to have the 2020 Gathering...!!!
Wow!! Choices abound aplenty!!! KC, Dallas, the Dakotas, all sound like fun. I agree with Dave a ballgame would be good. There is also the Ozarks area. We are planning on attending this year after missing out on the fun for the past two years.
finally arrived and rarin' to ride

What about in conjunction with the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit?
Mario
Detroit is in the east zone Mario.

BooHoo! Thanks
Mario
ateupjoe (Bryan) has offered to put together an event in the DFW area for 2020.
Being that having someone local to an area willing to put the event together is so valuable (like many other Gatherings before it), that is where the 2020 Gathering will be. Date is still TBD. I will post more in a new thread as soon as a date has been confirmed.

THANKS Brian for stepping forward. Check and see which C3 members are near you that can help.
PLEASE pick a date when it is NOT above 100 F.
I don't mind the heat but C3s don't like it hot.
The sooner we have a date, the sooner I can plan my summer.
Are we there yet?

He's already planning around the heat. And Jim told him how to find members near him.
As soon as I/we have details we'll let you know.
