It our gathering and we need to enjoy every minute of it even the rain part.......its all about the gathering not the weather. Maybe we can give out an award for the "Leakee ist C3"

Hey,
Not to rain on your parade
but I checked the AOL long range forecast and saw little or no chance for rain on Wednesday and Friday in Mystic. Let's see what happens for Saturday.

Change the oil, give it your last onceover and have a safe trip!

I can attest to Marshalls worries as it is raining here in Indiana now. But then it has rained, dried up, rained dried up, and now raining hard.... 3 times since Marshalls post.

Kevin, the weather on the east coast will change every 2 days
Guess we will find out when we get there.

Changed the oil yesterday, also put on new wiper blades and turned em on to make sure they worked
Just finished putting on two coats of Zaino. Just have to do the leather.

We already had enough rain in New England this year to last us until about Nov of '13. So, it anit gonna rain, that is if I stay home, but I'm coming so get ready for it.
Dave and Nadine, remember last year in New Hampshire and Maine, 5 ft visibility.
I'll think positive.

Can't be any worse than that Sunday! Needed a rack & pinion rudder that day! I think I'll pick up new blades myself to be on the safe side. This will be the shortest drive yet to a gathering for me.
See everyone Wed.

Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.
2008 Jetstream Blue Convertible
While it was about as dark as I've ever seen it in the day without raining, we went with the top down much of the morning. We did have the top up for two stints - it seems putting the top up scares away the rain. The last time we had to put it up, we pulled over on the side of the road for an emergency put up. It rained on us for 2 miles after that, till we pulled into a PA Turnpike Oasis. Stayed for about 20 minutes or so and the sky was the clearest it had been all day and stayed that way.
Saw Carlisle fairgrounds and Three Mile Island power plant (it is still in operation!!) from the road. Only real tourist stop was at Hershey, PA toward the end of the day.
Over 500 miles yesterday. Shorter day today. Wish us luck navigating the Vette in NEW YORK CITY!!! Yes, I know. I've been warned. I am taking precautions. Watch for us on Regis and Kelly Tuesday morning - we've got tickets. Hope to see the Statue of Liberty and a few other sites while we're there.
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
