Don't have a location but I think we will be connection to I 84 east about 09:40/10:00 in the AM, so I would hope that the Portland cars would be on the road heading your way and on channel #3. I m at work and do not have my list, I will look at tonight when I get home..Terry

Well a friend of mine from "Pacific Northwest Corvettes" just drove to Phoenix, AZ via Hwy 97. On the way down he was planning on visiting Crater Lake, heres what he found when he got there.

I'm sure the road will be open by the time we go through the area Thumbs%20Up

YIKES!!!  Wouldn't want to venture into that!!!

They have a Crater Cam, but the site says it's unavailable until further notice...guess we can check somewhere else before heading that way....

Do ya think there's any other area we'll be driving through that could still have snow/ice?

Vette(s): SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
SOLD - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe

What intersection where those pictures taken from?  If they were taken on the north side of the park where highways 138 and 232 come together I would believe what he encountered because they do not keep the north entrance and the road around the rim plowed out during the winter.  TOO MUCH SNOW...!!!  Shocked  Shocked  Shocked

We visited the park in late May a few years ago.  Coming in from Roseburg on the northwest we ended up driving around the west side of the park and went in the south entrance.  There was still 8 feet of snow around the parking lot at the visitor's center.

The park headquarters is at the south entrance so check with them before you leave for the park.  The rim drive sometimes doesn't open completely until late June or early July.

He did mention in his post that that was the North enterance to the park.  He had heard that the pass to Yosmite was colsed but when he got there it was clear.  I expect Crater Lake will be clear by Mid-June.
