Hey Gang,
I left the Comfort Inn at 4:00am (5:00am CDT) and arrived back at "The Ranch" just after 8:30pm CDT. BAD case of "Sititus" after that many hours in the saddle.
Made 3 food stops and 3 gas stops for a total of 2 hours. Didn't see many state troops along the way so had a rolling avearge of around 74mph. Saw a lot of Corvettes in Nebraska but none anywhere else - go figure...!!!
Hope everyone else has (or have had) safe journeys home...!!!
Thanks again to Terry and Bob for planning and hosting this year's gathering...!!!

We left the hotel at 6am. Caught our flight from COS to Chicago. After a 2-hour layover PLUS a 2-hour delay due to bad weather in Philly, arrived home around 7pm ET.
The gathering was part of a week long trip for me and my son (Nate). We started in Santa Fe on Saturday. We both had a great time in both Santa Fe and CS/MS, and he had many experiences that he not only enjoyed, but will remember for (hopefully) a lifetime.
Many thanks, again, to Bob & Terry Jett for putting this whole thing together. I know for experience that it is a TON of work and your efforts were very much appreciated!!
So great to see many "regulars" and a few new folks. I hope we can get even MORE new faces at our next gathering!

Great to hear you both made it back to your ranches. It was a short drive back to ours and uneventful. Terry and I enjoyed being with everyone -- always a good group of people, os, and cars....

Bob

Margie and I made it home about 6pm yesterday. We had a great time seeing all our old friends and meeting a few new ones. We, too, want to give a special thanks to Bob and Terry for setting up a fantastic Gathering.
The cruises were incredible with such beautiful scenery and also thrilling with driving the Skyline Drive.
I doubt anyone who took that drive will soon forget it.

The difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys!!
Left the hotel about 6:45 am and planned to drive about half way and spend the night. Made such good time that I arrived back to Hot Springs in 14 hours (MapQuest has it at 16 hours). Just had too much fun driving that new vette. I also want to thank Bob and Terry for setting up a great agenda and hosting the 2013 gathering.

Great to see old friends and make new. See you at Fun Fest 2013.

We made it home around 2:00 this afternoon, after stopping in DesMoines Iowa for the night Sunday. Drove 11 hours Sunday, leaving a short drive of 5 hours for Monday. We will never forget Sky Line Drive! Tail of the Dragon was a piece of cake in comparison (Elba, you should have been there!). Thanks so much Bob and Teri, for all the work you put into a fantastic gathering! We had a super time!!

Glad to hear that everyone arrived home safely. We got home last night about 6 PM.
The drive was uneventful until we approached Indianapolis. The rain was so heavy traffic slowed to 30 MPH. On I-74 between Indianapolis and Cincinnati there was a police escorted wide-load that blocked both lanes and was moving at about 3 MPH. We took a side trip through the most rural part of central Indiana to get around it. What's a few more miles after all of the driving of the last 7 days. Total miles just over 3000.
We did see two C3s between Manitou Springs and Limon along US-24. The Smokies were scarce in Colorado, Kansas, and Missouri. Illinois and Indiana were another story.
Thanks again to Bob and Terry for their planning and leadership of the event.

Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

Candi and I pulled in to the driveway about 9 last night. After a long bike ride Sunday and an enjoyable night in Breckenridge, CO, we took off Monday morning. We hit rain on the east side of Denver, then had sun the rest of Monday. Stayed the night in Lawrence, Kansas (an hour past Topeka) after driving US 40 for a bit. Tuesday, we ran up US 54 to jump off I-70 to Hannibal, MO to avoid storms in St Louis. We did avoid those storms but did hit some rain from Illinois on
Again, great gathering! We had an amazing time, thanks so much to Bob and Terry for setting things up
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
Got home yesterday around 5 PM after being gone for 29 days.
Put about 8100 miles on old faithful without too many problems.
I did loose the AC in Arizona (compressor bearings), but ran into a lot of rain which helped cool things a little.
One speeding ticket in Texas (88 in a posted 80 mph on I-10 just east of El Paso).
Too much rain in the panhandle of FL, so I came home early.
Great time in Manitou Springs and surrounding area, thanks to Terry and Bob. You put together a fantastic 4 days. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
