Vette(s): Used to own a 1979 Corvette now owned by JB79
I've heard Branson is a bit tourist-trapy. Is that true?

So we are coming to your house then. Super! We will call this Mickifest. Call Ebo up. He can give you hints on the setup. We like good homemade BBQ, working on broken corvettes, site seeing, eating lots of food and drinking. And repeat each day.

have been north.....not fair. I need to meet new people in the group and see old friends in the group. It's been too long! So all you Northerner's could meet in the middle or come south.

It's your normal "touristy" venue. Traffic is a real challenge on the one lane main drag thru town.

Only 34 years together
I would love to plan to go to the 2017 gathering, but with no a/c (and know I'm not the only one) July is out for that kind of travel for me. Mid to late May would be much better. Kansas City, KS sounds good.

Vette(s): 1978 (25th Annv. Edition)Red, Black interior, 4-Speed Transmission, L-82, Power & Air, Very Rare Option Package(Only 145 Red 1978s with a 4 speed trans) & Very Original Car, with original Window Sticker, Bill of Sale and all documentaion.
Branson is a tourist town, but only Hwy 76 on the strip is bad. Generally, with the alternative routes you can get around everywhere with little trouble, but there will be traffic. I plan one trip a year for our Corvette Club (National Park Corvette Club in Hot Springs, AR) and we have little issue getting around.
The big draw for Branson is: shows, venues, food, shopping and great places to cruise in your Vette. Since it is a tourist based town, there is more to do there than most places! Lastly, its not just a country music place anymore. NPCC is going in October and we are seeing Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits with BJ Thomas and the Liverpool Legends a Beatles tribute band.
That's my thoughts,
John

Visions of Pigeon Forge in 2006 come to mind...!!!

I like the idea of TEXAS Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, don't care all sounds good to me and not too far from Arizona. Texas is doable just gotta plan the right time.
