Speaking of the parking lot, does the hotel have some sort of security guard for the parking lot?
I was looking at it on Google Earth yesterday----and that parking lot seems to be a short hike from the building.
Just wondered---hate to stay somewhere where I can't see the car from the window, how about y'all?

I moved this out of the Group Photo thread... it was going to get off topic.
I do not think they have security there. I'll defer to JDGrant for his opinion on the matter.

My first Vette, now owned by JB79:

I called the Hotel and the person to talk to was not available. Her name is Sharon Teague. I left her a message to call me to discuss our security concerns. When I hear something I will post it. I too do not want to leave my car open to any vandalism, theft, etc.

Sharon called backed and she said they have a security guard from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 am. He does patrol the parking lot 3 or 4 times a night. Of course they make no guarantees as far as theft etc. She did state we could hire a deputy sheriff to guard the cars at $20.00 per hour. If we wanted to do that, let her know and she would make the arrangements. She also stated they have had many car groups there before and there have not been any problems.

If a professional criminal wants to steal your vette, he's gonna get it even if there's cops or security out there......

I think you all will be fine, no one messed with our Vettes in Carson City. We discussed the security issue before that gathering but think we kinda forgot about it cause we were having so much fun at the time. Or maybe we were all just to darn tired when we got back at night and just crashed
Like Micki said, if they want it they will get it no matter how much security you have. Have fun and just enjoy the trip.
