To help me plan future events... please rate the 2006 gathering.

1) On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being high), rate it on it's own (not comparing to other events).

2) Should we have done anything different?

3) If you have attended previous C3VR gatherings, did you enjoy this one less, more or the same as previous ones, and why?

Thanks!

Vette(s): My 1974 Vette sold last August 2014. I am still willing to show up to events and local gatherings if anything happening No new vette yet.

i rate it a 10.  i can't think of doing anything differently.  first gathering i been to so i have nothing to compare it to. but i am already planning on setting aside sometime next year for the 2007 gathering for sure.

I would give it an 8.

There is always room for improvement.
Without being negative, here are some suggestions for next year:

Pick a place and time of year when it is less likely to rain.

Choose a city that is adult themed (and I don't mean XXX).

Choose a restaurant that has a bigger selection than fish and chicken without forcing you to eat in a different room.

Organize more "country road" drives.

Provide maps and exact instructions for the rides.

Keep the caravan rides in the country tight together by pulling off and waiting for the rear to catch up.

Take pictures of the Vettes on the rides as they pass.

Take video of the event.

Have a peer judged car show. Award for best (_pick a catagory_). Chrome bumper car, convertible, original, custom, paint job, interior, wheels, motor, sound system, exhaust, etc.

I did enjoy this one as much as the last two. It was different, but just as much fun.
The BBQ's in the parking lots were great.
The Dragon was great.
The meeting was a great exchange of ideas.
The Muscle Car Museum was great.
Friday lunch was OK.
Saturday breakfast was OK.
Saturday dinner was OK.

Again, I am not being critical. Just throwing out some ideas to make next year even better.

I'm sure others will have suggestions for next year. This is brainstorming, so no idea is a bad idea. It only sparks more ideas.

And no, I do not want to be on one of the committees. We will need the "west coast team" to coordinate that.

I pretty much agree with what Dave said in general. That bumper to bumper traffic was a real PITA.

I give it a 9.

I had a great time and really enjoyed meeting everyone. Can't wait for another one, although I don't think I'll be going cross country with the Vette.

Well, not having been to any of the other "Gatherings", I couldn't compare, but, I thought it was OK.
On a 1 to 10, I'd say an 8 or 9
I too, think there should be a member voted show of some kind. I know the rain in PF would've made that impossible, but, it's an idea. You could have the Hotel Manager/employees participate in voting, also.
Overall, I though it was a very good event, with just a couple of minor complaints. The hotel hallways stunk really bad upstairs! Traffic was an issue.

And...I don't care what they say....I ain't NEVER seen that on TV!!!

I agree with Dave also.  I'd give it an 8.  first one for me too but I will be back, probably not on the west coast though.  had a great time.

the best part was meeting everyone.

even with the rain, Friday's BBQ was a great idea.  thanks again to the cooks.  I feel that it and the mtg were the highlights.  hope some good comes from the suggestions at the mtg.

the tail of the dragon was a lot of fun.

I think two things need to be improved.  better coordination of events and better communication to the participants.

also in the future, someone should be familiar with the site and help in planning the activities.

I give the event a 9, and agree with all the above, and I think that whomever becomes the coordinator for the West coast should do the leg work, since they do live out there and know the area...... I had a blast, my first and I do plan on driving the Vette out west. Maybe more cars will use the caravans....

I think we should have a 50/50 raffle, maybe a scavenger hunt, a breakfast, lunch or dinner cruise, a car show where it is peoples choice. Maybe give away some gift certificates, maybe a run/walk for your Vette event....Plan on doing a dinner theater, or a Mystery Train Ride, or if its by the water, some kind of dinner cruise on a boat..I'm sure we will get more ideas as the year goes on, and maybe not wait till summer, maybe have it in the late Spring or earlyFall....

I really enjoyed the gathering, everyone was great....and we all took home a lot of fun times and special moments!

I also agree with Dave it would be nice to have the cars judged by the members. The traffic was an isue although I'm use to heavy traffic areas. More drives together as a group would be mint. But one thing Can Not change the hospitality shown to my wife and myself by our beloved neighbours to the south. Its nice to see it only takes one day to have Americans saying EH. And a Canadian saying YA ALL

 Thanks to all of You.
