Cinor (Cindy, C3VR member that lives in Saskatchewan) has offered to put together our 2019 Gathering which is slated to take place in the Western part of the country. Well, Saskatchewan is above the western part of the country, just a bit north.
Part of the challenge of putting together the annual gathering is finding one or more people to help put it together. So, the fact that we already have someone willing to put one together makes it pretty easy to decide where to go.
We usually put out a vote for a handful of places, but since we already have someone willing to plan the event, I want to start by first seeing if we have enough people with the desire to attend the gathering if it were in Saskatchewan, specifically the city of Saskatoon.
I think if we get at least 20 people that it will all be worth it. But hopefully we'd have a lot more! I look at this as an opportunity to experience a whole new part of the world that I'd likely otherwise not go. So, maybe you'll feel the same.
By voting "Yes", you aren't committing to attend. You're just stating that if you are available when the time comes, you'd want to and would attend in this location. Just looking for interest level at this time.
Thanks!

WOW - that was quick...!!!

Drove through the province once years ago returning from a family vacation in the Canadian Rockies to Minne-snow-ta. Other than that about all I know of Saskatchewan is that's where Patty's brothers go for duck and goose hunting in the fall. From our place in Colorado it would be a solid two day drive to Saskatoon (according to Google Maps).
It would be a first to have a Gathering in a "foreign" country.
If your passport isn't current, or you don't have one, get going now!

I was hoping for Southern California for 2019, but I can stop there on my way to Saskatoon.
Just don't make it for Labor day weekend (NCM 25th Anniv caravan).
Or the weekend before (Carlisle).
Or before July 4th (too much snow in the Rockies).
Or after September 15th (too much snow in the Rockies).
Around the car show in the Rockies (Black Hills?) would work.
OK, I'm in.

BTW, if you have a criminal record, you won't get into Canada.
That includes DWI and DUI.

Maybe it's only Ontario Prov.
I can sneak in the back door.
BTW, It's ONLY 1875 miles from my house if I go through Ontario to Windsor and then I75. 31 hours of driving would be 4 days.
If I go I90 to I94 it's 1930 miles and 30 hours.
Can you get a hotel south of the city? Then it won't be so far. LOL

In the couple of years we've been in Colorado the snow has been plowed off the roads by Memorial Day.

In the couple of years we've been in Colorado the snowplows get put on the trucks in mid-October.

We'll leave a light on for ya...!!!
I will warn you right now if you go through Ontario you are gonna be there for a very long time. Speed limit is 90 km and with campers and motorhomes you will find yourself doing 70 km a lot of time. There are only passing lanes and not a lot of them. when I drove through it rained the whole time and was foggy, believe me you do not want to take your eyes off the road cause on the one side its a looooog ways down
