Woo-hoo! Only about 700 miles for us--we'll plan to be there.
Had a great time in Hot Springs and have had to miss the '09 and '10 gatherings

Hey, I just looked at the Days Inn in Effingham and there's a "book 14 days out, save 20%" rate of $47.99 for a King. Wonder why their published rates are better than what they offered for a block??
Got the '79 re-painted the original Corvette Light Blue last year. Ronnie's in the garage right now (in 100 degree weather!) puttin' in a new differential. Putting 3.05's in her now--should do better on the highway. And not burn quite as much gas either.

Lifetime MemberFrank & I are toying with the idea of going...never taken anywhere near that long a journey in her, but with the new tranny, she should do better than she would B4. Whats the travel schedule like? 12 hours in one day?
