Midwest is the target.  One idea is the Black Hills Corvette Classic.

It's been 25 year since my last visit to this event so I'm not sure how crowded it's become...it's also at the high point of family travel to that area too.  It starts in Sioux Falls and moves to Spearfish SD.

2017 – July 11-15

Sioux Falls, SD; July 11-12
Spearfish, SD; July 13-15

Don't you have some snow to plow?  LOL

Based on past history I would guess that a thread asking for suggestions on where to have the next gathering will be coming very soon.
The Middle Region is next on the rotation and so far there have been  gatherings in Arkansas (2008), Illinois (2011) and Wisconsin (2014) which are all on the east side of the region.  So as to not repeat a location put your thinking caps on and look for spots in the central and western parts of the region for a place that will be interesting to visit.  Thumbs Up

How about (I guess that would be aboot) some cow tipping in Canada, eh ?? Perhaps a body drop on Cindy's '75 ?? She said she has a newly formed Corvette Club that would love to have us stop up for a visit. I also like John's suggestion for the Black Hills event !!

Holy crap, it's Dave C., how's things going in the big AZ ?? We did toast your presence at the Gathering this year and Darryl did his best to consume your portion of the alcohol !! Sorry you couldn't make it, I was certainly looking forward to meeting you. Perhaps a trip to AZ is in our future next spring, I'll be sure to look you up.

Which spots a repeat? John and Stella would have a fair chance of finding your "crib" with their Jeep.

I had a mini tour of KC Kansas on my way out west a few weeks ago. In addition to what John mentioned, the football and baseball stadiums are located on the same property. And a drive to Witchata would be able to see where several plane manufactures are located.
I am already syc'ed.

I'm game to throw Saskatchewan out there we have great places too you know, like how about al Capones tunnels in moose jaw and we have great historic museums too and I think Sara mentioned you could have a go at treating the buffaloWink  and maybe if John has some spare time he could help Santa build a few toys.
