I think it would be nice if it where a little closer to the middle of the country so maybe more people would drive. Colorado or someplace. I like the idea of Colorado Springs...maybe Yellowstone or someplace like that. Don't get me wrong, I love the Great Northwest, but I can't drive my 37 year old Corvette that far. I say Breckenridge Colorado.

Mountains of Northern New Mexico are beautiful with some great drives on curvy mountain roads. Would that count as the West?

We stayed one time in Buena Vista, CO. It's in kind of the central part of the state--use it as a hub and make day trips in all directions, wherever the good roads are.
The Washington and Oregon areas sound wonderful--I just hope that we will be able to make it. We couldn't go to New England this year
. Just would have been too cost-prohibitive (think over $3 grand!).

Well, I don't know the area, but I like the thought of the XXX Rootbeer all corvette show in the Tacoma/Seatle Wash. But I would trust the suggestions of the folks in that region to know what would be the best gathering place.
