[QUOTE=cthulhu]for a good day drive you can take scenic highway 7 to petit jean mountain
there is a classic car museum up there... and a good corvette friendly drive to get there. ( I nearly lost it on this trek in a c5 maybe going a little too fast)

Ben is right on! Hwy 7 to Petit Jean is a great drive and beautiful views & water fall with the car museum. It is a great trip. There is also a lodge that serves lunch, buffet or ala cart.
Another drive up Hwy 7 would be to Mt. Magazine. The views are incredible and the lodge is brand new and is a sight to see in its self and the food is great. The wife and I just went there last Saturday to view the changing leaves with some friends on a Vette cruise! Had a simpley great time! No museum though.
Petit Jean may fit this group best!

[QUOTE=dwright]What about a trip to Little Rock?
Or is the Capitol over rated?

It may hold some interest for some.
There is the Bill Clinton mobile home, bridge to nowhere, ere, I mean library.

Honestly it is not much of a tourist destination. But again some may find it interesting. Unless you take the back way (much longer) you have to travel mostly interstate and fight the LR traffic, not something I prefer to do with my Vette!

Just trying to brainstorm some ideas for things to do and see.
I think a couple of hours in the springs at the end of the day would be relaxing after a ride on the back roads.
Anything else come to mind?

little rock was mostly a $hithole before katrina... but then a bunch of the refugees decided to take up residence in LR and it has somehow gotten worse.
if anyone wants to perform or be involved in a liquor store robbery or drive by shooting then we can go to little rock...
other than that... there isnt much to see...
