I just placed an order with Bair's and as I was talking to Brian I thanked him for their support of C3VR. The next thing I heard him say was "apply C3VR discount". He didn't ask for a code, member number, or anything. So I guess it depends on who you get on the other end of the line.

There is the C3VR Sponsors page already in place (look for the Current Sponsor List link on the 'About' menu tab). Maybe it isn't in the most intuitive place to find, but it could probably be moved to a more visible spot. Info needed for member discounts, etc could also be added there as well displayable to members only (not those logged in as 'GUEST').

I think a vendor's list, as mentioned previously, would be of more benefit than a static page of links. Having feedback on likes/dislikes would be a real bonus I'd think. Knowing who to avoid or who to go to for things would save a lot of frustration/energy/time when working on a project.

If memory serves me correctly C3X was going to be scheduled for a date earlier in the year, but got bumped back because of a conflict with another event the NCM kids were involved with. Adam originally tried to get it scheduled last year but the NCM said it already had a full plate for 2003. But after having been in BG in late June last year (it was DARN toasty then! |eek| ) I'm looking forward to more moderate temps and watching the seasons change on the way home. |smile|

I know - a bit off topic, but felt I had to reply.

I know this may hit a sore spot, but I think a topic that needs to be discussed is ways or steps that can be taken to return this site to a free site. You want more members, and sure you will get some, but I think I can speak for mainstream America that people won't pay for something they can get for free. This site is very near and dear to me, but it's not the only place you can get very reliable information on how to deal with a C3 problem. Prove it to yourself if you have any doubts. Post a question here, then the same at Corvette Forum, Crossed Flags, and Corvette Action Center and see what kind of responses you get. (For what it's worth, I have promoted this site in all 3). Of the 3 sites mentioned, Crossed Flags has about the same number of registered members, the others are considerably larger. Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm certainly not trying to take anything away from the fine people here that are very helpful and love C3's with a passion. I wish I could make the C3 event, but I have been out of town for the last 4 weekends and I really need to recover for a little while.

Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.
Okay I know that I am late on this thread, reading all of it I think everyone has great things to say, what I would like to add to the mix is something that c3vr does right and that is treats every one equal.

I had no one to teach me anything about cars, spent my time drinking and drugging, so I know nothing about most of the crap you wrench heads are talking about, boy am I jealuos, and every time I post the simplest question it is replied to with respect and warmth the more I am reading and the longer I stay here the more I know this is the place to be. What you do right is treat members with respect. thank you.. |wavey| |cheers| |thumb| |thumb|
