According to Google Maps Colorado Springs is about a 14 to 15 hour drive from the Twin Cities (approx 950 miles). Tentatively looking at leaving the Twin Cites Tuesday afternoon around 3:00PM and overnighting near either Omaha or Lincoln, NE. Departure on Wednesday morning would be timed to be in Colorado Springs by late afternoon.

Tuesday route would most likely be I-35 from the Twin Cities to Des Moines and then I-80 to Omaha/Lincoln.
Wednesday route would most likely be I-80 west to Kearney, NE, then zigzag through NE/KS to I-70 near Colby, KS, I-70 west to U.S.24 near Limon, KS and then U.S. 24 to Colorado Springs.
Hope to hook up with others along the way...!!!
The return trip on Sunday for me will have to be a direct shot back to the Twin Cities as I have to be back to work on Monday morning.
Are we there yet...?!?!?!?

Hey Jim,
Look for a group of Vettes on I-70 coming from Salina, KS on Wednesday.

Tuesday overnight spot has changed to York, NE. From there to the Pilot Travel Center near Colby, KS is about a 4 hour drive. Don't know what time the NE Caravan plans on being on the road but it is just under 3 hours from Salina to Colby. Hopefully the timing will work out.
Jim, I think Dave said we would leave Salina around 9am. That would put us in Colby by about noon or so. Make sure we have your phone number and we can coordinate the time to meet up.

The difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys!!
I have DW and D&J phone numbers so covered there.
I've sent messages to the Wisconsin folks who have said they're coming to see what their travel plans are. Hopefully "The Train" will get longer...!!!

Departing York, NE Wednesday morning by 8 o'clock should have us in Colby at about the same time. Guessing there is a time zone crossing somewhere east of there, correct?
We will go into the Mountain Time Zone when we cross into Sherman County, Kansas between Colby and Goodland. We'll pick up an hour there. ARE WE THERE YET????

Larry

Sounds like I-70 going into CO is going to be full of Vettes.
And we might get to the motel an hour early!!!

It's party time.

Twitchy rodent finger perhaps...?!?!?!?
Looks like changing back to the original plan of overnighting in Lincoln to connect with Frank and Dean. We'll just have to be on the road an hour earlier (7 o'clock) in order to connect in Colby. What's on the lunch menu at the Pilot Travel Center?
