I has two questions concerning the Great C3VR Gathering of '08...
1) Would someone be willing to do a short but sweet write-up, with a couple of pics for the major Corvette mags? This would be great exposure for the site/club/family. We've discussed doing this every year, but so far....nothing.
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
2) Anyone willing to take on the daunting task of compiling all of the photos/videos on disc, and sending them to the members that would like one?
This HAS been done, and I'm sure all of us have appreciated the time/effort that goes into it, as well as being able to see the final product, which is all of the pics/videos from the many members in attendance, without having to travel all over cyberspace.
Let the flood of volunteers begin!

1) I nominate our SharkBytes editor to do the story write-up.

2) I'll volunteer to do the photo/video compilation. I'll start another thread for it (click here).

Thanks Jim!!
I second the motion to have our illustrious Editor to do a story!
All in favor, say EYE!

I will even write a paragraph or two and send it to Dennis, if he is willing to compile and edit.
Thanks Jim. I'll mail you a CD when I edit my pictures.

It figures...My computer service takes a dump
and I get the nomination.
Rather than be like Lyndon Banes Johnson (another Texan) who said if Nominated I will not run, if Elected I will not serve...
I would be most happy to write up a short story on the best corvette event at least people wise that I have ever attended! I am very pleased that you guys have the confidence in me to pull this off.
OK, now that the mutual admiration is over, it's time for some good natured ribbing.
Wasn't it Jimmy Olsen who was a photog and by-line writer for the Daily Planet?

For bonus points, name his boss, his mother and the other two primary members of the cast.
Bonus question, who's the most obscure villian you can come up with?
Again, thanks for the confidence. I only take Corvette Enthusiast, and as such I know they have a place up front for these type articles. Anyone have any contacts at any of the other Mags and Rags?
Does anyone know who the writer/photog for Ken's engine story was? I can look it up, but I still won't have the phone or email.
I'll get 'er done, hopefully by the weekend and start a post with it for comment.

Dennis,
I can help some.... I have sent Terry Ricer and Ken Styer an e-mail requesting their help and contact information. You are on copy of this request.I would be willing to help you do some writing. Unfortunitly my Gathering experience is limited from mine and Marshall's arrival Friday evening through early AM Sunday morning.
Anything that helps out another BLACK VETTE owner is the right thing to do...

Well now...Thanks Jim and Dennis!!
I know we've discussed doing the mag article on our Gatherings for the past few years, but I ain't seen one done yet. I say this be the year it gets done! Course...it prolly won't get IN the mag(s) until December(lead times, ya know), but that'd be otay!
