Dave:  Corvette Expo is in Knoxville at Chilhowee Pk. on Oct. 19-21, 06.   I thought you'd know about that show. Here's their sight:

www.corvetteexpo.com  Check'um out.  Let me know if you want to go, I stay at a good motel at Strawberry Plaines Pike, just about 3 or 4 miles on the east side of the park. That way you don't have to put up with all of the K/v traffic.

This senility sucks... I just read about it this morning... and posted a reply...

We are DEFINITELY going to do C3X in Bowling Green the weekend before, not sure if we can stay away from the lake 2 weekends in a row at the best time of the year, but I'll give it a definite "maybe".

Center Hill Lake is only about a hunnerd plus miles from Knoxville, no reason we couldn't hit Knoxville Thursday and Friday then to Center Hill Saturday and Sunday... Make that a VERY definite "maybe".... which is a "probably".

Which motel? I'll make reservations for Wednesday night, we can meet up there...

Dave

Hi Adam,

How's it going? Guess I missed the choices before the final selection for the 2007 gathering. What happened to the northern states? (NY,NJ,CT, PA etc.)Wink Oh well, guess I'm out numbered.

Nice to see you at Carlisle. Hope you had fun.

Meet me in Saint Louie, Louie.

And I am definitely up for that.

With interesting stops along the way. Very cool

As soon as the destination is final (one more day to vote), we can figure out a date.

Then the routes.

Are we there yet????

[QUOTE=dnv] If you guys come thru on I-44 to I-40W, we may be able to meet up with you along with some of the other OK Vettes.

Ifn' you'd want to detour off on some of the prime Route 66 pavement,
you can run almost all the way across Oklahoma on 66
http://www.oklahomaroute66.com/. (Don't know how to get the link to
work)  They have a run in March or April every year that goes from
one end of the state to the other.  It is great fun!

If you time it right, you can stop at Cattlemen's Steakhouse, favorite
of Actors, Presidents and no-accounts.  It is in the middle of the
State less than a mile off I-40 West.

Joel, you and Micki and all the rest of the Tejas bunch can probably get a one time visa to come up and join the party  We'll see if the Gov will allow it, probably depends on a certain Cotton Bowl score.

I know exactly where Catlemans is, it is excellant!!! Although I don't drink now I would advise those who do to partake of the Double Duece. The story behind the beer is great as well. For those who don't know the story let this be an incentative for them to find out!
This would be a great stop for any caravan. Although I would highly reccomend stopping afterwards. I don't think I could drive after eating here.

As for the Corvette Expo I posted a topic for this last night if we want to begin to make some arrangements to meet. hangout, and go to the show.

Chuck,

We've got our own thread on the topic of "Corvette Expo".

or just go to the top and click on "2007 C3VR Member Gathering" and look for "Corvette Expo".

I think an administrator has to start a new forum.
