I'm no statistics major, but I'd say we're going to Reno/Tahoe.
I once heard of a statistician(?) who drowned in an "average three inches" of water...
We'll try to make it, where-eva it be...

Hey "Country Boy," from another country boy, no sky scrapers in Reno-Tahoe, some tall building yes, Reno sits in the desert ELV. 4500 ft, Lake Tahoe sits in the mountains, ELV. 5500ft. about half or more the size of Reno, about an hour away from Reno, when we vote where to stay Tahoe will be my choice.
I agree with Pumps as Carson City would be a nice place to hold the event. 30 miles to Reno, Tahoe and not far to Sacremento. Reno hosts huge events such as Hot August Nights and Street Vibrations and has no trouble supporting them it's just that Carson City is smaller and more party friendly.
If Reno/Tahoe wins, I would suggest giving Carson City or the Truckee area a look for lodging. Also, the Reno Air Races are in september. Fills up most of the rooms in Reno and the rates go up for that weekend.
Carson City sounds like a perfect place to base from. Nowhere near the hustle of Tahoe. It has a rep of being a laid-back friendly towm.

I didn't vote for this one since it's very likely I won't be able to make it. Already have a couple trips out west planned, and there never seem to be enough vacation days.
I'm just waiting to see where the location is, and maybe I can be flexible on my travel time (one is a wedding, so that's out, but the other is a vacation).

Someone told me if we go to Utah I can get another wife? Jeez, I can't carry all the luggage for the one I have..
..Lets go for the night life in Reno, that sure sounds like fun with a bunch C3VR's gathering from road trips from all over the USA..O'Boy here we go again and it's not even Christmas yet!
