Getting mentioned is not a problem at the show, but parking at the show is first come first served. I believe that there is an award for the most club cars registered as well as long distance award, but don't hold me to that.
The key to that is everyone meet somewhere and all drive in together. Then if someone wants to leave , it make a hole for a potential someone else at the right spot.

Exactly. All C3VR show entrants meet at the hotel and caravan to the show. Just don't be polite and let someone else in. Maybe is we put our headlights on and our 4-way flashers, they'll think we are going to a funeral. Anyone have a Corvette hearse?

"It's 1080 miles to Hot Springs, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses."
"Hit it"
Heck, it's only 100 miles further than to Effingham, I can drive it !

Darn,I can't make it again this year. My daughter is receiving her first communion that weekend. Hopefully I can attend the next one.

It would be nice if the hotel has a restaurant and a bar/lounge. That way people can eat right there if they wish and can hang out in a lounge at night without having to worry about the car being parked somewhere questionable. Also those that like to have a few do not have to drive.
I like that Lake Hamilton Resort, nice to have a frige & microwave. Balcony overlooking the cars?

In case a of bad weather, we can still hang out without having to go outside, just an idea. I know we made the best of it at the rainy BBQ in Pidgon Forge, but alot of people did not stay out there. I've never been there so I can only go by pictures on the hotel sites and listen to the people who have been there. I know it will be great no matter what.

I gotta say, the Lake Hamilton resort is looking pretty sweet right now.
I just go off the phone with their group sales rep. We can get in there for $80/night W&T (regular $94) and $90/night F&S (regular $104). Sounds pretty darn good considering they are ALL suites with balconies and views of the lake.
They'll have a hose available to us (bring our own towels).
They have a restaurant open F & S for dinner.
They have a bar open Th,F,S from 5pm till they aren't busy any more. It is a small lounge.
Each room has 1 king or 2 queens. 13 of their 104 rooms allow smoking.
They will give us our own parking area. We could hire security for about $20/hour if we wanted to.
Only thing they are missing is free breakfast. But on M-F they do have a buffet available for only $6.95.
