Topic: What do you want to see at C3X?
in Forum: Annual C3VR Member Gathering
We are in the beginning stages of compiling the Agenda for the C3X. What are some items within reason would you liek to see?
Keep in mind we always do road tours, car show, group photo, NCM tours, etc.
Thanks!
Hey AB,
I know there were a bunch of folks that went on Assembly Plant tours and a few who went over to the dyno place so I'd recommend keeping those on the agenda.
There were several folks disappointed that the drag racing was dropped last fall, but we understand the low number of participants was the deciding factor in that. If the racing is going to be offered again I'd recommend stating up front that there is a minimum number of entrants required in order for it to happen.
Hopefully there will be a few more vendors that will come. Instead of having everyone park around the circle maybe the parking should be over in that same area where the vendors setup so they'd be more included. Just a thought.

The plant is now bookign the tours. The NCM will not be giving tickets away. You have to purchase them through the plant now.
The Dyno closed its shop a week after our event. I do not forsee a dyno this year.

There will not be any pre-registration for drags like there was last year. The drags are solely being run by Beech Bend. we too were dissapointed with the response to the drags. Hopefully Beech Bend will allow us to race that weekend.

Good thought. I am working on some vendors right now. My suggestion for you all is when you are ordering parts mention the C3X event. Tell them to contact me. Space is VERY cheap here.
Thanks for the input!

How about some different tours than last year? Maybe to the distillery or some such. Just to keep things "fresh". Looking forward to seeing you all again.

distillery ?? you got me interested.. what distillery is around there ?

How about something like a hospitality tent. A place where folks could get together and sit down and chat.
Right now everyone walks around and looks at the cars and chats, but a place out of the sun (or weather) with maybe a couple tables and a bunch of chairs where folks can sit down and have a soda or coffee with fellow Vetters amongst the cars would be nice.

This is typical for all NCM events to not have the same road tour as the year before.
We have a great bourbon tour...we can add that..

We will need larger attendance to justify the cost of this item. This is something to look at in the future when the attendance does raise.
The one thing to remember is that all of our registration items are priced at cost. There is no money made by the NCM on registration alone..
Thanks for the input, please keep the ideas flowing!
