I talked to my niece last weekend and she said they have been getting a lot of rain since the end of June. And with all the burn areas from the wild filres there have been quite a few mud slides in places where they usually don't have them.
I have to agree, we were darn lucky with the timing of our visit.
Yup, we been gettin lots of rain -- 13 days straight of rain. It has been nice but the roads, especially up the pass towards Cripple Creek has paid a price. Nice mud flows from the burn scars, makes getting home from the Springs an adventure. Timing is so important, as soon as everyone left, the rain came and washed the spider out.

finally arrived and rarin' to ride

I guess I don't want to live at the end of a cul de sac. At least not where the road could get washed out.
