We’re all a little older.
Last summer just felt hotter
And the winters seem much colder.
There was a time not long ago
When life was quite a blast.
But now I fully understand
‘Bout Living in the past.
We used to go to weddings,
Go to football games and lunches.
But now we go to funeral homes
And after-funeral brunches.
From parties that were gay.
Now we suffer body aches
And while the night away.
We used to go out dining,
And we couldn’t get our fill.
Now we ask for doggie bags,
Come home and take a pill.
We used to travel all the time
To places near and far, yet,
Now our asses get so sore
From riding in our Vette.
We used to go to all the clubs
And drink a little booze.
Now we stay home every night
And watch the evening news.
That, my friend is how life is,
And now my tale is told.
Enjoy each day and live it up
Before you’re too damn old.
The difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys!!
