In the October 2002 issue of Corvette Fever a letter was sent in requesting information on LeMans style headlights. I have seen these headlights on race cars in other magazines and am interested in them for my Corvette. The person answering the letter was Sal Carbone from RPO and he stated his company sold the brackets. He gave an e-mail address but has not responded after two e-mails. Does anyone know of these brackets and/or how to get a hold of Reproduction Parts Outlet? I just recently purchased a 1971 Corvette and planning to restore it. Any help would be greatly sppreciated.

Chuck,
I know nothing about the Lemans lights you're referring to -- I can only say that the lights on my '71 are mediocre at best -- (and the brights are "double mediocre") . It's just a fact of "life as it was in '71" -- just like the crappy radio!
I know that there was a discussion (Norm80?) about high-powered European style replacement bulbs but if I remember correctly, not one member of this forum was able to get them to fit and or work at all.
Are yours broken or just bad?? Good luck anyway!
