Vette(s): 1972 coupe/350 cid/mild cam/4 spd/20 ft. paint (looks perfect from 20 ft.), but it sure runs nice.

There's been tons of threads covering this topic, but I can't find any explaining how to get at the #2 mounts. I crawled underneath but it didn't seem accessible. The 70-72's have that removable side grille....is that a possible vantage point. Help!

You get to the #2 mounts from inside the car. Remove the kick pannels and you will see them. Here are some pics of my body-off project: http://hometown.aol.com/bmclau5079/page5.html

Thanks, Brian, your extensive "body-off" experience is well documented throughout this site. That's some job you ended up doing.....I've got a sick feeling that's what my body mount replacement job will turn into. Thanks, again.

I am working on a 1978. Is it possible to change the body mounts without removing the body. The drivers side front looks like water got to the bolt and will need replacing for sure, but after almost 30 yrs it probable would be a tragic mistake to think you don't need the change them all.

Hey all, I am, Cecil, the wrench for Shelley's late husband's Vette. I was asked to look it over of sell. I bought a battery over and had it started in 20 minutes and I feel in love. The car had been sitting  in their garage for 13 years uncovered and under the usual garage storage stuff. It has been an on-going project since July 04 that will take patience and time. http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse.asp?folder_id=1338337

I have stripped the interior and found gaping hole from rust floor plans and the body mounts are rusted out.

Brian, I would like to know where did you get the Rocker channel repair parts. 3 pieces: rocker channel, front insert, and rear insert.
