From my experience if the mount, is bad so is the rocker channel. On my 73 it got real ugly before it got better. I dont see how you can replace it without a body being lifted.Even with the body off, I took off the glass panel that hold the acess panel in front of the rear wheel off, it gave some more room to work. Just a heads up #4 mount can look good from the out side but inside is toast. Good luck keep us posted. Brians and my rust infested mess looked identical .
Thanks Brian . I had Actually visited your repair site earlier . What was the determing factor that made you lift the body ? Was it the second mount rotted. I have looked at #2 & #3 on both sides and only see rt #3 bad. The plane is to remove the door post panel to gain access and then weld in a patch ( gusset ) from Paragon I have already made extensive repair to floor and fire wall. Was this the type of additional problem you had in mind. ED. L.
My rocker channels were so bad that the body wasn't attached to the frame anymore. It was just sitting on it. My main fuel line was rusted out as well. I had replaced part of it with a rubber hose and when I went to see what it was going to take to replace it I found that I couldn't get the hose out. It was being piched by the body to the frame. It was so bad that if anyone sat in the passenger seat it would stop the flow of gas.

Ed, you really don't need a bunch of height to lift the body. I did mine with an 8 foot ceiling and had room to spare. I picked mine with an engine hoist and a set of straps attached to the door hinges and at the latch post. That way you don't have to worry about the sills taking the weight. I had a friend that did several body removals using the latch posts and the hood latch bolts, he even had a plate that fit the bolt pattern for the hood latch. Told me he picked one up like that with a complete interior still in the car.
