I think these vent cables may be on 1968 Confusedthru 1974, non air. One cable attaches to the left vent and one to the right floor vent. The other half (wire part only)will attach to the open/close vent on the console. Now where do you attach the plastic part with a hole in it for a screw.. It has to be attached somewhere to make the cable work, and stay in place. Does it attach to the underside of the console somewhere or WHAT. The assembly book on the 68  does not show where the plastic part attaches.

Not really sure myself...seems like there would be a place on the bottom side of the console to screw that thing into...
I'll check my AIM when I get home, unless someone else can before then.

Can't really tell. Maybe it connects to the heater control housing. But where the cable plastic part that has a hole in it does not come back as far as the heater control.
At least on on the right side.
I could somehow attach the plastic part to the left side of the heater control assembly, but the right side won't fit on this housing.
I think I had it rigged somehow before, but I have had it apart for a long time while  getting it painted. Just want to put it back correctly.
