Any recommendations on the best way to install chrome inserts to the fender louvers (gills) on a '68-'69?

thanks

Assuming you have the correct fastners (rubber nuts). You put the louver into a slot and space the solid side just a little away from the corresponding solid part of the car. Do this on the side and bottom, the rubber nut acts as a small spacer. I took a Sharpie pen and made a dot through the holes in the louver. Carefully take a drill and make holes for the rubber nuts. Word to the wise. Take tape and mask the side of the car well. When the drill goes through it will want to hit the side and make a mean mark-I know from experience.
