I believe the nuts are suppose to be inserted into holes and they are not suppose to turn. But as time goes and having them taken out and or vibration, I'm sure they get loose. If I remember correctly, the pan right behind the front tire, its like triangle shaped, and has like 3 or 4 screws holding it in place, does come out, then you can get right up there and hold of need be, probally easier than thru the top. thanks mr69vett i was wondering why the rubber nuts were shaped that way. if you drill a hole just big enough to put them in,when you tighen them they squish in the hole and get tight so you don;t have to get be hind them thanks again.
